Vinted Climbs to the Podium

A remarkable takeaway from the report is the ascent of Vinted to the top three, overtaking Cdiscount and positioning itself just behind Amazon and Leboncoin. This shift underscores the growing consumer interest in the second-hand market, with Vinted attracting 17.1 million unique visitors. The report indicates that 48.5 million internet users, or 76% of the French population, visit at least one of the top 20 platforms or apps monthly, marking an increase from the previous quarter.

Top 10 E-commerce Sites in France

  1. Amazon: Maintains its lead with 36.6 million average unique visitors per month.
  2. Leboncoin: Holds the second spot with 27.3 million.
  3. Vinted: Rises to third with 17.1 million, showing a significant interest in second-hand goods.
  4. Cdiscount: Falls to fourth with 16.5 million.
  5. Booking.com: Moves up to fifth with 16.2 million.
  6. E.Leclerc: Drops to sixth with 15.6 million.
  7. Shein: Jumps to seventh with 13.8 million, marking one of the largest climbs.
  8. Carrefour: Remains steady at eighth with 13.5 million.
  9. Fnac: Falls to ninth with 13.3 million.
  10. AliExpress: Drops to tenth with 13.1 million.

The Mobile Preference

The report further emphasizes the dominance of mobile as the preferred platform for e-commerce, with 95% of the sites having more than 70% of their visitors accessing through mobile devices—a significant increase from less than 50% a year ago. Vinted and Shein lead the pack in mobile traffic, with 88% and 86% of their audience respectively coming from mobile devices.
