Voxelo raises €346k in pre-seed funding to convert videos into 3D twins and AI product content.

Manchester, UK – The Manchester-based startup, Voxelo, specializing in creating 3D product content from videos, has announced the initial closing of its pre-funding round totaling €346,000 (£300,000). This funding, described as a "first step," remains open to welcome additional strategic investors before the final close.

Founded in 2025, Voxelo leverages its proprietary technology, UG3D (User Generated 3D), to transform simple videos into ready-to-use digital models in about two hours. These digital models serve as the foundation for various content types, such as interactive 3D experiences, augmented reality (AR), and studio-quality visuals for marketing campaigns and product listings.

An Experienced Team with Strategic Support

The startup has received support from Andy Gray, former director at eBay and co-founder of the NFT marketplace KnownOrigin, who joins the founders to guide the company through its next growth phase. The leadership team at Voxelo combines over 50 years of expertise in e-commerce, artificial intelligence, and creative technology:

  • Vladimir Mulhem, CEO and former founder of Creative Content Works,
  • Ben McKay, Chief Operating Officer (COO) and former product leader at WPP,
  • Roman Bromidge, Chief Technology Officer (CTO) and former co-founder of Kaedim, a startup specializing in AI and 3D.

Speaking about the company's mission, CEO Vladimir Mulhem stated: " It all starts with capturing a 3D digital twin from a short video. Our belief is simple: better product content builds buyer trust – and that trust boosts conversion in online commerce. "

A Tailored Response to E-Commerce Challenges

In a context where traditional content creation pipelines are costly, fragmented, and slow, Voxelo offers an intuitive and affordable platform designed for non-technical e-commerce teams. This approach addresses the growing demand for optimized content creation solutions.

Ben McKay, COO, explains: " We built Voxelo in close collaboration with our end users, and one thing is clear: product content creation remains too complex, too expensive, and too limited creatively, especially with tight budgets – which is almost always the case. When e-commerce teams rely on AI tools today, they often encounter hallucinations and content limited to 2D. Our approach is different. "

The UG3D platform enables the production of various content from a single digital twin, including:

  • Ultra-realistic interactive 3D experiences;
  • AR visualizations to place products in real spaces;
  • Annotated models for product education;
  • Studio-quality visuals and lifestyle images for advertising campaigns (in beta).

Roman Bromidge, CTO, emphasized the user-friendliness of the UG3D technology: " Advanced 3D should not be intimidating. We focused on creating a simple, consistent, and reliable experience so that teams can concentrate on merchandising and storytelling rather than the complexity of production. "

A Thriving Sector

Voxelo's funding is part of a broader wave of European investments in AI and 3D technologies for e-commerce and digital content. In 2025, players like Covision Media in Italy and SpAItial in London raised €5 million and €11.4 million, respectively, to develop their tools and services dedicated to 3D content creation and environment modeling. Additionally, startups like DeepScout (Prague) and Minimist (Vienna) have also attracted funding for AI-based solutions, optimizing online commerce operations.

In this context, Voxelo adopts a more targeted approach, focused on enhancing product content creation for e-commerce teams while remaining competitive in the market.

Looking Ahead: An Ambitious Vision

Already collaborating with clients such as Cosatto and British Attire, and supported by programs like Innovate UK, Turing Innovation Catalyst, and Exchange Accelerator, Voxelo aims to expand its impact.

Investor and advisor Andy Gray summarized the opportunity presented by Voxelo: " The product experience in e-commerce is ready for a true transformation. Consumers deserve more than a carousel of flat images. When I discovered the 3D models generated by Voxelo, it was a revelation – and I believe this is just the beginning of what this technology can enable. "
