Creating a Google Campaign

Step 1: Select Campaign Type

  1. Go to AdvertisingCampaigns
  2. Click Create Campaign
  3. Select Google as the platform
  4. Choose Performance Max (recommended) or Standard Shopping

Step 2: Campaign Settings

Configure your campaign basics:

  • Campaign Name - Use descriptive naming (e.g., "FR - Summer Sale - All Products")
  • Budget - Daily budget in your currency
  • Bidding Strategy - Maximize conversions or Target ROAS
  • Target ROAS - Your desired return on ad spend (if applicable)

Step 3: Product Selection

Choose which products to advertise:

  • All Products - Entire catalog
  • By Category - Specific product categories
  • By Brand - Single brand focus
  • Custom Selection - Hand-picked products
  • By Labels - Products with specific labels

Step 4: Targeting

Configure audience and location:

  • Countries - Where to show ads
  • Languages - Audience language preferences
  • Audiences - Optional audience signals for Performance Max

Step 5: Assets (Performance Max only)

Add creative assets:

  • Headlines (3-5)
  • Descriptions (2-4)
  • Images (optional - product images used by default)
  • Logo
  • Business name

Step 6: Review & Launch

  1. Review all settings
  2. Check estimated reach
  3. Click Create Campaign

Your campaign will start within 24 hours after Google approval.

Creating a Meta Campaign

Step 1: Platform & Objective

  1. Go to AdvertisingCampaigns
  2. Click Create Campaign
  3. Select Meta
  4. Choose Catalog Sales for e-commerce

Step 2: Catalog & Products

  • Select your connected Meta catalog
  • Choose product set (all or filtered)

Step 3: Budget & Schedule

  • Budget Type - Daily or lifetime
  • Amount - Budget in your currency
  • Schedule - Start immediately or schedule

Step 4: Audience

  • Custom Audiences - Retarget website visitors
  • Lookalike Audiences - Find similar customers
  • Detailed Targeting - Demographics, interests, behaviors

Step 5: Placements

Choose where ads appear:

  • Instagram Stories
  • Audience Network

⚠️ Recommendation: Automatic Placements usually performs better than manual selection for new campaigns.

Step 6: Launch

Review and launch your campaign. Meta typically approves ads within 24 hours.
